Seasonal Christmas Tree Collection & Recycling
Our annual Christmas tree pickup schedule is published every year in late December. To ensure your tree is eligible for collection and environmentally friendly disposal, please follow these guidelines:
Important Disposal Requirements
- Natural Trees Only: We exclusively collect real Christmas trees. Please note that artificial trees cannot be accepted through this seasonal program.
- Size Limits: All trees must be cut to a maximum length of 7 feet.
- Complete Decoration Removal: Please remove all lights, ornaments, stands, and especially tinsel. These trees are transported to a local tree farm for recycling; any remaining debris can be harmful to the environment.
The Placement of Your Trash Can Matters
The correct placement of your trash can ensure the collection of your garbage, recyclabes or yard waste. Most collection trucks are armed with an automated electronic arm that grabs and empties the bin. This efficient process streamlines collection and prevents potential injuries.
